Feature Spotlight #1 - Pinecones and Enemies

Hello, everyone! I didn't get eaten by a tiger! Yay!

However, he was giving me nasty looks so I only wanted to stay on the computer long enough to make a 90-second video and (obviously) this blog post. Without further ado, the video. Bask in its glory. Sorry that things are kept brief; I don't have too many levels right now!

The video featured:

  • Level 1 and Level 2
  • A Monstrosity and a Vert
  • The cool negative-effect thing that I figured out a few weeks ago
  • Normal and burning pinecones
  • Two music tracks: Attack of the Shards and The Terrors and the Lights.
  • A random dude standing in the background as Agent 3 pops all the Monstrosities...?
And, as promised, I want to share a little more information. I'll list detailed information on the two monsters (Monstrosities and Verts) below. In addition to that, I'm going to tell you about Normal, Burning, Frozen and Poisoned pinecones. You will be able to find all of this information the HandDrawnWiki once I add it.

Monstrosity

Movement and appearance: Prowls side-to-side slowly, drilling through anyone in the way. Black, cloudy, shady sort of look. Enjoys on occasional pizza.

Attack: Pushes through enemy blindly.

Health: 100

Destruction Points: 100

Weakness: His back is very vulnerable. He refuses to armor it to display his perfectly conditioned black aura.

Strength: Deals 35 damage in 1-second intervals.

Specialty: Nothing. Everything this guy plans is painfully easy to spot.

Vert

Movement and appearance: Moves just like a Monstrosity. Has a cute, almost cuddly look at the same time as having a ghostly demeanor that may keep you up for many, many, nights. Nightmares are just about guaranteed, too.

Attack: Same as a Monstrosity, but knows how to get his revenge.

Health: 100

Destruction Points: 250

Weakness: It is possible to stomp on him, but it's safer to pop him with a poisoned or frozen pinecone.
Strength: Deals 35 damage in 1-second intervals.

Specialty: When he's destroyed, he'll explode with a massive area of effect. Stomping on him isn't recommended.

Normal Pinecone: Deals 100 damage. 10,000-point cost.

Burning Pinecone: Sets the enemy on fire and encourages them to speed up.

Frozen Pinecone: Encases the enemy within an ice block relative to their size. You can jump on the block, but it's slippery.

Poisoned Pinecone: A lot like a burning pinecone except that it slows the enemy down instead of speeding them up.

That about wraps it up. I hope you're excited! I still don't have much news for Release Candidate 1 (previously known as the alleged "mouthful" RCDB1) besides that I plan on releasing it in September or October. Stay tuned!
